Cable Planning & Facilities Design

 

Situation: Your company’s network needs have out grown the existing network infrastructure and has to be redesigned to meet new business requirements. The cable plant must be re-designed to support a new high speed emerging technology network (i.e. voice, data, video). Cableplant expansion could include building new network facilities, renovate existing facilities, building a Campus or Metropolitan structured cabling system. You want to build it according to current and emerging industry standards to support your networking requirements (i.e. Cat 5, Cat 5e, EIA/TIA 568A [voice], EIA/TIA 568B [data], etc) To design the cableplant you’ll need an experienced cable plant designer to write technical specifications or review an RFP for a data center or standards based cableplant. You need an experienced consultant to work with building and architectural engineers to make sure that your network requirements are met. You need a project manager to work with Lines of Business, IT staff, and real estate or construction management to coordinate the network requirements and relocation efforts.
